These works have been created over a 2.5 year period. Drawing in ink directly on found photographic images from 1860 - 1930's, Ms. Traverso responds to her subjects to create hidden worlds and landscapes that evoke yearning and nostalgia, reveal or create mysteries. In her particular drawing style combined with delicate etched lines in the ink, infants in baptismal gowns, couples, siblings, matrons, men, toddlers, families, working women, are each transformed and given new life.
